For years, I dreamed of starting my own Shea Butter business but didn’t know where to begin. Skincare has always been a passion of mine, especially since I’ve struggled with acne. While my face presented challenges, I never had issues with the skin on my body—thanks to Shea Butter. My love for it started as a child when my mother bought me my first container of yellow, unrefined Shea Butter from a local flea market.

As I grew older, I fell in love with body butters for their softer texture and ease of application. The idea of creating my own product stayed with me for years, but just as I was about to start, life took a turn—I became pregnant. My pregnancy was extremely painful, and my postpartum journey was even harder. I struggled with postpartum depression for 10 months, feeling lost and unable to move forward with my dreams.

Two years later, while pregnant with my second child, I made a promise to myself: this is the year I invest in me. Not just financially, but mentally and emotionally. I refused to lose myself in pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood again. That’s when I finally took the leap and launched Chená Beauty—a brand built on resilience, self-care, and the belief that every person deserves to feel beautiful in their skin.
